Mile 8.50 Elevation: 3,400 Although we cannot see the view of the canyon, we can here the roar of the Colorado 600 feet below. The team takes a break. We are so tired that we are willing to setup camp anywhere. This exposed spot is not a good spot for camp since three sides are shear cliffs and high winds could blow us off the point.
