Mile 10.3 - 11:20 PM
We finally arrive exhausted at the first suitable place to camp. It is a 4 foot high 8 foot overhang of rock. (See bottom Photograph) We decide there is no need to set-up tents since the overhang provides shelter for the night. We begin to roll out the sleeping pads and bags under the overhang when someone brushed up against some spider webs. After looking closer at the spiders hanging from the rock, it is discovered that the two spiders are Black Widow spiders. We quickly decide to setup the tents and close the zippers tightly. |
