Zigzag Glacier

During the hike, Bob crossed over the Zigzag Glacier many times and worked his way up the steep and slippery terrain to the base of the Palmer Glacier. During the 2 ½ hour hike the temperatures dropped to below freezing and winds blew at 25 to 30 miles per hour. Sleet dusted the mountain that morning. The weather changed dramatically as a weather front passed through at about 9:00 AM.
